Malware: Up 15% Month September 2009
Reported growth of Malware for the month of September 2009 is astonishing. The increased number of infected computers has risen 15% in a single month? Why is this epidemic of disease allowed to continue without attention from those deriving revenue online? To me, there needs to be a collective effort made to fight this epidemic. Major online players deriving top shares of Internet market share should design and fund an independent source of supergeek proportion and enlist these individuals with both the task and resourced to halt those responsible. At the very least, more action must be taken against those who knowingly or not continue spreading infectious apps online. More important to me, why doesn't Google, Microsoft, ICANN and other type groups recognize the need for this same collective action and fund it?
On any given moment when I realize that Norton has thrown up its alert to renew my subscription, I immediately begin weighing the pros and cons of an infected OS system and it starts to sound like a trade off.
